GICEE needed to automate end-to-end testing, but licensing restrictions in their existing technology blocked full implementation. Without automation, testing was slow, error-prone, and costly—threatening system reliability and delaying deployments. The situation was unique—we couldn’t use the originally suggested tool and had to find an open-source alternative that met their needs.
We built a custom automation framework using MS Playwright, enabling full E2E testing without costly licensed tools. Our solution integrated the CRM, Compliance system, and sales network frontend while enabling SAP GUI automation via HTML—a rare market approach. Despite the complexity, we delivered a scalable, cost-effective solution that ensured seamless testing without compromising functionality.
GICEE now has a fully automated, high-speed testing process that reduces errors, manual effort, and deployment risks. Scripts run faster, cutting testing time while ensuring all key business functions operate smoothly before deployment. By eliminating the need for expensive licenses and reducing manual work, we saved the client hundreds of man-days and tens of thousands of euros in licenses and human resources.
